My family settled in Madison, Wisconsin, more than ninety years ago, living in and around Schenk’s Corners on Madison’s east side.  In the 20s through the 50s my great grandfather, grandfather and father built homes on the east side.  I grew up an east sider and my parents ran a corner grocery store in the Tenney-Lapham neighborhood. Following college I worked for the National Park Service and Wisconsin State Parks.

My work at DNR involved real estate matters over the years so pursuing a career in real estate was an easy transition for me. I have always been fortunate to work in places and do the kind of work that I had a passion for. And real estate has been no different!  I have had the opportunity to work with fascinating clients, some of whom have become dear friends of mine.

Having the opportunity to assist clients with the deeply personal process of buying or selling a home is very satisfying to me.  It brings to bear, my desire to be as helpful and effective as I can, in helping others achieve their goals.

I have helped my clients purchase their first homes, transition from a home to a condo, buy that long-desired home on 20 acres in the country, purchase a rental property, a horse farm, a place to locate a business, and find the perfect home that meets their specific needs.  I have also sold lake property, recreational land, fixer uppers and a spiritual retreat center.

I have enjoyed each and every transaction for the unique challenge they create, whether it be listing a property of helping a buyer find one.  I have sold very expensive properties and those that are just within the grasp of a first time homebuyer.  And I approach each with the same level of enthusiasm.  But I have a special place in my heart for first time homebuyers who are trying to achieve their dream of homeownership.

Other things that feed my soul are traveling, kayaking and camping, spending time with friends around a fire, sharing food and playing games.
